Ilaya Superstar! That is what Dhanush will be called by his fans. Reacting to the new title, Dhanush said that by conferring such a title on him the fans have showed their love and affection. Dhanush says, "But I don`t know if I am eligible for the title now". The lucky actor celebrated his birthday among fans, a week ahead, as he would be out of town shooting for the film Padikkadhavan. Dhanush cut a cake among his fans who had arranged for a birthday party at a wedding hall in Chennai.

The young actor is not trying for a remake but is just borrowing the title of the Rajinikanth hit 'Padikadavan' which sounds almost similar to his previous hit movie 'Polladhavan'

The title 'Padikathavan' is aptly suited for the movie as it speaks about the nature of the hero's character.May be the story of this film was inspired and conceived just from the title of superstar old movie.

Actor Suman plays the character of the heroine Tamanna's father who owns the temple. The main theme of the movie is about a problem faced by the hero just because he is an uneducated youth who comes from a very well educated family. Tamanna comes in the role of a software professional from a high class society who falls in love with the uneducated hero.
